Dear friend and mom of a child with ASD,
P
icture yourself
enjoying the happy smiles on everyone's faces at your child's 17th birthday party...
Your child is happy dancing with their girlfriend or
boyfriend. Good
friends are close by chatting and laughing. Even their work colleagues have
shown up to celebrate with them.
This heart warming image
may
seem a little far fetched to you right at this moment
in time; however don't worry
it was once just a pipe dream for me too...
Until I discovered some
easy-to-use principles
which
transformed
my son (Brandon)
from the depths of despair and depression, to the happy-go-lucky, friendly 17
year old he is today. So let me share a little of Brandon's story with you here
today...
When Brandon was a little boy - I have such fond memories of
myself and he playing "hide and seek", digging up worms in the garden, and
making the best mud pies in Queensland (Australia)!
Back then he
really enjoyed life and lived it to
the absolute MAX -
until something
really, really s
c
ar
y happened to him.
The frightening
and chilling spectre of...
School!
From the very first day when he sprinted out of class, crying floods of tears and
declared
"I'm NE
VER going back"
-
I knew there'd be trouble...
Pretty quickly the other kids discovered my son was different, and they knew
they could get
instant entertainment
from him.
They knew no matter what took place, they just had to run off and leave him
to take the blame from the teachers.
Yet he never took the blame, he just got more upset and ended up throwing a full
blown melt down, which would make the teachers send
him home. It was a no win situation for my son Brandon.
Some days I could drop him off and by the time I arrived home the school was
ringing me to pick him up again!
He was being bullied and the teachers just didn't seem to want to help him one
little bit.

"Our little boy went
from loving himself and
enjoying life to a little boy who loathed
and hated himself..."
Brandon began to feel very overwhelmed anytime he had to go to school. No one
liked him!
And though he could not communicate it... He still
felt strongly and knew in his own way
he had no friends, the teachers
loathed him and he was so alone and sad.
I used to find him just sobbing under the quilt in his bedroom. His unfriendly
peers and equally unhelpful teachers were literally
tearing his poor young soul
into pieces.
Over time his behaviours began to come strong and heavy because problems were
getting worse at school. And this went on for 3 years... It all reached a
chilling climax on Valentine's Day in 2004 (when Brandon was 8), when...
"All the kids in
class received Valentine's
cards from each other -
EXCEPT Brandon...

So while every other child was sitting there opening cards
and giggling on this "fun" day; our son was made to sit there and just watch.
Not even the teacher made a card for him,
which I actually found the most
hurtful!
Then I received the phone call...
Brandon had "lost it" in class and they wanted me to pick him up.
Which I did; however no-one at the school even bothered to let me know what had
happened.
So Brandon stormed into the house and nearly slammed the bedroom door off it's
hinges. I left him alone for 5 minutes,
because I knew he needed downtime before I should approach him.
To kill time I emptied his school bag, cleared the kitchen table and began
peeling some carrots for dinner.
"Then when I
entered his
bedroom... alarm bells
began to ring..."
Brandon was nowhere to be found,
which sent a chill down my spine
because I knew he had not left his bedroom...
My heart was now beating SO quickly because I feared he had jumped out his
window (he had done this a few times before)... However I soon realised he
couldn't as the screen was still on the window...
I looked under his bed... there was no one there. Then I looked in his
wardrobe because I know he used to like curling up in his wardrobe when he was
younger.
And there was my little man, the love of my life,
hanging from the rod
in his wardrobe while his hands were in the tie around his neck.
My mind went blank except for the immediate "life and death" need to get the
damned tie off his neck and
to talk to him... To try to figure out what in the world had happened to make my
beautiful son want to end his own life.

"Slowly I undid the tie
around his neck and I took
him in my arms and just hugged him... he
laid and sobbed in my arms"
We cuddled together on his bedroom floor and I told him
I was going to ask
a lot of questions and he needed to answer them. Brandon managed to stifle his
sobs and meekly replied Okay.
Brandon told me the story about the Valentine card giving and told me...
No one
likes me mum, so I wanted to die", however then I changed my mind and I could not
get the tie off my neck!
So here I am sitting with my son who I just had to save from trying to hang himself, and I was feeling:
Anger
at the adult who allowed my son to feel so excluded and isolated
in front of his peers
Resentment
to the other parents for not teaching their children how to accept
ALL others regardless of any "difference"
Sadness
because I had bought a vulnerable child into this world of hate and
meanness,
and yet I was...
Giggling
because here he was sitting there talking about
how he had thought about suicide, and then how he had changed his mind, yet could not get the tie off
around his neck!
"I was giggling
because my gorgeous boy (with just the biggest
blue eyes) was looking so confused as to why the
tie just
didn't come off when his mind had changed!"
In the stress of the situation it was funny because he had forgotten about the
incident and was stuck on why the darned tie would not come off!
As you can imagine, once I was over the initial shock and adrenaline of dealing with this
near tragedy, I was absolutely traumatised. I barely slept a wink for weeks - worrying over every
last detail...
WHAT
could
have happened
WHY it happened
and eventually...

"WHAT the heck was I
going to do
make sure this never, ever,
happened again?"

So I went looking for answers...
First of all I asked the teacher why she did not make sure all the kids had
Valentine cards, and to my disbelief her reply was:
"Well if you son was nicer he would have gotten a card.
She also told me he must have mental health problems!
I was staggered by her ignorance - she still couldn't even see
she had
caused at least some of this horrendous situation.
Now my son wasn't mentally ill; he was hurting and wanted to stop the pain he
was forced to endure on a daily basis. Sadly this teacher isn't alone in her
ignorant thinking, and I just can't understand...
"Why
so-called 'professionals'
are so quick to
blame any problems directly
back onto the victim"
Why cant they just say Wow, we stuffed up, we didn't realise it would hurt
your boy so badly?
Looking back I could have slapped the stupid woman;
instead I left and
got in the car and cried.
This teacher's complete lack of competence made me realise I had only myself and my husband to work at building
our son up into a strong being...
It also showed me
the Education system can be a BIG let down and
their mission statements were just words...
Fake, unfounded, useless words
which vulnerable parents really want
to believe when they are looking for a safe school for their young one.

"This was the day I
never trusted
another teacher or
system again"
I began to re-evaluate what our son needed, and what we needed to do in order to
help our son make it through his hard times
(so he wouldn't take the drastic
action of attempting suicide again).
I was desperate to find the truth behind this whole painful mess... so I set about
researching everything I could about human behavior, ASD,
depression and suicide,
The Truth which could keep my beloved Brandon safe from harm.
And I'd love to let you know everything I read was really
helpful and insightful; however the reality is this vitally important area of ASD and
depression/suicide isn't very well developed.
There are a lot of myths and stereotypes out there, which don't actually match up to the
reality.
Over time through research, and my own day-to-day trial and
error, I devised a system to keep Brandon safe, which I'll reveal more
about in a minute...

"And now for the really
good news about
Brandon..."

Fast forward 9 years to the present day and Brandon is now a
happy and successful 17 year old young man.
Sure he still has his "off days" (who doesn't?) however those dark days of
depression and despair are WELL behind him now.
Brandon's got a good job...
He's now finished final year at school and works in a local supermarket on the
registers (not just hidden away in the back office as one such 'professional'
suggested he should be).
He is always dealing with customers and has received compliments and rewards for
excellent customer relations and helping out those who need it. He just makes me
so proud every time I think about it.
Brandon's got good friends...
He's got a few great friends who really accept him for who he is. Including his
best friend Jamie who he's as "thick as thieves" with. They love biking and
when they go off on their bikes - they're usually gone for an entire day at a
time!
Brandon's got a girlfriend...
He has been seeing a lovely girl called Rachel for nearly a year, and her family
all say Brandon is a real gentleman... Because he treats her right and
always takes her flowers and chocolates. And oh yes this year...
Brandon got a very Big Valentine's card from his girlfriend!

"So what does Brandon's
success story
mean for
you
and
your
child with ASD?"

Like I said a little earlier... I spent the best part of 9
years devising a system to keep Brandon safe, and to this day he's currently
thriving.
And for the first time ever, I've recorded this system so
you
can use it to help
your
child
stay safe and build a successful life...
Now every child is different (I'll be the FIRST to admit it) however this system
relies on simple-to-understand principles which will work for EVERY child when
you
just give them a go.
And I'll reveal more about this system in a minute...

"Here's 5
reasons why
I'm qualified to
help you..."

1. As I'm sure you know - I walk-the-walk and talk-the-talk every single day as
the mom of a young man with Asperger's.
Brandon is
17 years old and I've had
to save him from the immense pain of both depression and suicide - so I am REALLY
experienced on these crucial topics.
2. I am on the autism spectrum myself -
Like so many
with ASD I've had to survive some huge challenges in my life. So I have a deep understanding of the troubles your child may
well be experiencing.
3. I've helped over 2328 families who have children with
ASD -
I have helped families face-to-face in my local area, and across the
globe through my website and resources. In this time I've helped them to work
through all kinds of complex and difficult situations for kids. And come out at
the end with the results they desire.
You have a unique ability to get
inside the minds of these special
people and be their voice
I really need to say that I have
very much enjoyed your newsletters
and the book which I have read.
You have a unique ability to get
inside the minds of these special
people and be their voice.
This is a great help to the
average parent who struggles to
understand
what is happening
inside their heads.
Understanding this leads to
greater patience and tolerance...
With patience and work there is
hope. Thank you for being a
pioneer in this area.
I would recommend your books
and newsletters to anyone looking
for help in this area.

4. I've written over 11 books on Asperger's and ASD
- Including my
best-selling "A Parent's Guide To Coping With ASD" (you
may even have a copy).

With
the help of Kerris books and
newsletters I am beginning to
understand how my daughter is
feeling and why she feels the way
she does.
"Hi my name
is Dianne Turner, I have a 13 year
old daughter who has just been
recently been diagnosed with ASD.
I had been
taking her to doctors and
psychologists to try and help her,
only to find that things actually
got worse...
I came across
Kerris web site and
what a
breath of fresh air
considering most web sites just
seem to focus on the symptoms...
With the help
of Kerris books and newsletters I
am beginning to understand how my
daughter is feeling and why she
feels the way she does.
I cant
express in words how good it feels
to finally be able to relate to my
own daughter...
Kerri has
a unique talent of being able to
understand life from a childs
perspective
and assists us
parents in being able to identify
the facts and connect with our
children.
Thank you
Kerri job well done."

5. I've been asked by the government to teach about Asperger's/ASD -
I've been brought in to teach
workshops and work with individual kids by the local government. I got a nice
letter from a workshop I did last year here in Queensland, Australia...

In this ebook I'm really going to let you walk in my shoes
and feel what it's like to actually be on the autistic spectrum. I've exposed my
inner most feelings and secrets in this book and I'll share with you my own story
growing up -
warts and
all.
At times it won't be pretty - I've suffered terribly at the hands of some
people over the years (including nasty school bullies, a physically abusive "ex"
and some down right toxic female friends to name a few).
However I've also been so blessed to have met my true love (
and husband
), have 2 wonderful
and amazing kids, and a handful of "true" and dear close friends.
So it's been a pretty crazy journey
and I know you'll gain some
important insights into your own child's thoughts and experiences by reading it.
Here's just a few examples of what I'll reveal to you in my story...
The # 1
rule I wish someone had told when I was growing up, which would have saved me
years
of heartache (page 4)
The simple
mistake I made which got me into BIG trouble at school; your child definitely
needs to know this one (page 6)
My run-in with
the police, which was so badly handled it was a joke (page 7)

How I discovered,
through my own horrible life experiences, how to raise strong, healthy children

protecting my children (this lesson will be of BIG benefit to
your
child
too)
My simple, yet
effective, approach to helping
your
child make friendships (page 12)
2 horrific
experiences I suffered as a child which
scarred me for life
.
Knowing about these experiences will definitely help
you
keep
your
child safer (pages 13-15)
The sadness, and
joy, of having my baby boy Brandon (page 16)
The little know
secret to a healthy relationship or marriage for someone with ASD (page 18)
On pages 20 -
27 I invite you to
"
Look inside my brain

and
discover from me:

* Why it's
so hard for
your child
with ASD to have face-to-face conversations

* The real
truth about eye contact for
your child
with ASD

* The
fundamental reason
your child
with ASD finds change so darned
tough
* Exactly why
your child
with ASD finds it almost impossible to work out who are

the "good friends" and who will just manipulate them
* The precise
reason
your child
always seems so awkward around other people
* How to
really understand
your child's
emotions (yep it really is
possible!)
Discover how your
child's biggest challenges, can also be their biggest strength too (page 27)
A precious
secret
you can share with your child, which will help them hugely in their
life (page 29)

"And
it's just a small investment for you
to get all these great insights into
your child
with ASD today"
As a parent I know you really want to
understand what's going on in your
child's mind
- so you can keep them
safe
and
secure
, and help them build for a
brighter future
. However where can you get this level of understanding?.
Well I recently looked at a university accredited "Basic Autism" course in
California; which ran to $695. Which is without paying for text books, as well
as the hours and hours of study time required.
Maybe something less would be to spend
time talking with a specialist Asperger's coach.
However at around $100 for a one hour session;
it would soon add
up to at least $300 or $400 (when you really want to dig deep and find out more
about your child).
However don't worry your investment is only a fraction of this.
You can get all of these great resources today for just $4.95 (14 day
trial)
And here's the catch...
These 2 resources are just the "tip of the iceberg"...
I've been
working away like a dervish for the last 3 months producing a whole wealth of
brand new resources which.. give
you
the parent the tools
you
need to really do the best possible job
for your child with ASD.

"Which is why
I've created
'The ASD Insider's
Club'"

Every month as a member of this exclusive club you'll receive
a brand new resource from me.
In these resources I'll be offering my own unique tips, tricks and techniques as
a mom, educator, and adult with ASD.
I'll be tackling
the essential ASD topics
you need to know about
and giving you practical and effective strategies for
you to use with your child.
Just a few of the important ASD issues I'll be covering are:
* Key strategies to beat the playground bullies
* How your child can finally make lasting friendships
* How to prepare your child for success as an independent adult
* Understanding which therapies really work
(and which are a load of hocus
pocus)
* Success stories from children I've worked with
(and
what
makes
them successful)
* How to improve your child's experiences at school
(I know... Don't laugh
there really
are
success strategies you can use!)
* Coping with negative emotions like guilt, frustration, and anger, which you
often experience as the parent of a child with ASD
And don't worry these resources won't be just some short 3 page newsletter, they
will be
a full no-holds-barred 40 to 60 page e-book each month.
When you join today your initial charge will be $4.95 and 14 days later you will

You will then be charged $29/month for as long as you wish to
